When the forest becomes multifunctional, resilient and a mosaic

Guided walk, in French, through a partially ancient forest. We will take you on a discovery of the links between the forest and humans. The route will focus on trees and the forest ecosystem, the history of the forest, the qualities of different tree species, and the pleasure of being in the forest. We will discuss the forest's impact on health, biodiversity, climate, and economic life.
For the whole family, from 8 years old. Approximately 2.5 km to cover (around 2 hours 30 minutes). Specific equipment to bring depending on the weather, good shoes, no disabled access.

The Société Royale Forestière de Belgique (SRFB) is a non-profit organisation dedicated to the forest and foresters. Its Forest Friends projects are aimed at the general public who want to understand the forest environment. The SRFB's volunteer Forest Guides will help you discover the forest as a source of life, in close contact with mankind. This activity is part of the Weekend du Bois.
